Bio - 2025
Joaquín Mujica is a Peruvian pianist, composer, and arranger currently pursuing a double major in Film Scoring and Piano Performance at Berklee College of Music, where he will graduate in Summer 2026. Born and raised in Peru, Joaquín began playing piano at seventeen and quickly discovered his passion for music. After spending a year studying at El Taller de Músics in Barcelona during the pandemic, he attended Berklee’s Five-Week Summer Performance Program—a experience that inspired him to pursue his studies in Boston.
Joaquín’s music fuses his Peruvian roots with the sounds of Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock, Joni Mitchell, and other artists who have influenced his approach to rhythm and harmony. His work ranges from piano performance to film composition, with a focus on storytelling. At 24, he is active as a pianist, arranger, and composer open to teaching, sessions, and writing for visual media.
